Cardiac Catheterization - Temporarily Closed
Effective May 5, 2023, the cardiac catheterization laboratory will be temporarily unavailable due to renovations and the addition of new technology. Our enhanced technology will provide higher definition images for our clinicians and patients. We appreciate your patience and are excited to improve our clinical care in the cath lab at Lower keys Medical Center.
Lower Keys Medical Center's doctors use cardiac catheterization to both diagnose and treat heart disease. This minimally-invasive, interventional cardiology technique involves insertion of a thin, flexible catheter into the arteries to examine the heart, arteries and vein with real-time images. Because the procedure only requires a tiny incision, patients often experience less discomfort, less blood loss and a quicker recovery.
