Visiting Policies & Hours
At Lower Keys Medical Center, we welcome and encourage families and friends to visit hospitalized patients. For the safety of all our patients and visitors, children must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult at all times. When entering our front doors please remember to sanitize your hands. Also, please check with the nursing team leader before bringing any special food or treats to patients, because many patients are on a special diet which prohibits or limits certain foods.
Important: For security purposes, all visitors and vendors are required to sign in wear a visitors badge in any of our facilities. You can obtain a badge at the main lobby information desk and ER window.
General visiting hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Maternity unit visitation hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Fathers, siblings and grandparents may generally visit at any time.
Intensive care unit visitation hours: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Visitation is limited to two visitors at one time. Patients in the ICU can not recieve flowers and other items. Please ask the ICU nursing staff what is allowed.
Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the ICU without special permission. For access to the intensive care unit, please pick up the telephone located on the wall in the ICU waiting room. Once you pick up the phone, a member of our ICU team will assist you. You will be asked to identify yourself and the patient you wish to visit.
Please note: Our ICU staff may limit the length of visitation based on the patient's condition and need for rest.
Overnight visitors shall be responsible for providing their own personal necessities. They are asked to stay within the parameters of the patient care area and maintain a quiet environment as a courtesy to all patients. Overnight visitation is given at the discretion of the nursing staff and is based upon the condition of the patient.
