Patient Advocacy/Patient Safety (Patient Liason) Services

Lower Keys Medical Center promotes Mary Jackson, RNC to Director of Patient Advocacy/Patient Safety

Mary Jackson started her nursing career at Lower Keys Medical Center (LKMC ) in 1988 where she went on to become the Director of the Medical Surgical Unit and the Intensive Care Unit. In her new position as Patient Advocate, Mrs. Jackson will now serve as the personal liaison between patients and the hospital.  Your expressions of praise or concern will be heard so that moral, ethical, operational and care standards are upheld.

Jackson explains, “Our goal is to provide the very finest healthcare and medical service possible. The majority of the time we exceed our patient’s healthcare expectations. Every now and then, however, we may not. We want to learn from that experience and continue to improve.”

We feel that some patients or families who are concerned with our service may hesitate to talk to us.  They may not know how, or they may not think it will make a difference. If you are kind enough to contact us, two important things will happen. You will give us a chance to try to resolve your problem.  In addition, we will also learn how to provide better service. The information that you provide is shared with our leadership. It is used to help us improve the care that we deliver. We value what you have to say and we welcome your call.

Please feel free to contact Mary Jackson with any LKMC hospital concerns or praises at 305-294-5531 Ext: 3306.
